Sábado de torneo / Tournament day

Anoche celebramos en la academia otro cumpleaños donde los chic@s se divirtieron una vez más. Esta vez fue el turno para Iván Cortés, de los más pequeñitos entre nosotros, que se hizo mayor al cumplir 7 años. En la celebración no faltó nada y la fiesta acabó en una encarnizada “lucha” de globos de agua donde acabamos todos empapados de pies a cabeza.

Esperamos que hayan disfrutado de la noche de ayer, ya que hoy ya es sábado, y eso en JC Ferrero – Equelite, implica torneo, y los chic@s tendrán que dar lo mejor de sí, una vez más, para acabar un día redondo.

Last night we celebrated another birthday and the children had a lot of fun again. Iván Cortés was the lucky of being 7 years old, he is one the smallest children this fortnight. At his birthday party, we don’t miss anything and the party finished with a water balloon fight and all of us finished with our clothes wet.

We hope they enjoyed the party but today is Saturday and, what does it mean? In JCFerrero-Equelite it means that the children are going to play a tournament to show what they have learnt during these days. They have to give their best!

We are waiting for the results! Come on!

La amistad / Friendship

Son muchos días ya en nuestro stage viviendo y compartiendo diferentes situaciones, emociones y momentos diversos. Todos nos conocemos por primera vez en estos días y, sin embargo, esto no es impedimento para crear unos lazos de amistad envidiables que perdurarán para todo el futuro.

Al fin y al cabo, son muchas horas juntos, y a través de campeonatos, diversos juegos o talleres de arcillas, los chic@s conocen lo mejor de sí y de sus compañeros.

Estamos muy contentos con todos ellos y su gran rendimiento

The children are at the stage a lot of days and are living and sharing different feelings and moments. All of us met few days ago, however; we are creating really strong ties of friendship among us and they are forever.

After all, we spend a lot of hours together and through the tournaments, different games or workshops, children know the best part of their new friends.

We are really happy with them and with their performance.

Nuestros chicos con Juan Carlos Ferrero / Our players with Juan Carlos Ferrero

Ayer fue un gran día para nuestros jugadores ya que pudieron pasar gran parte del día con el ex número 1 del mundo de tenis. Después de los entrenamientos de la mañana, tuvieron la oportunidad de conocer a Juan Carlos Ferrero en persona. Juan Carlos se hizo unas fotos con ellos y los niños estaban muy ilusionados porque estaban con un grande del tenis. Después de las fotos Juan Carlos les firmó autógrafos y les dio a los niños unos consejos para llegar a ser número 1 del tenis y entrenar bien.

Además, antes de la cena, nuestros jugadores tuvieron la oportunidad de ver un partido de fútbol y no fue cualquier partido, en él jugaron los entrenadores de competición contra los entrenadores del Stage de verano.  En el equipo de competición jugó Juan Carlos Ferrero que a parte de ser un gran jugador de tenis, es un gran futbolista aunque nuestros chicos del Stage animaban a sus entrenadores. Los entrenadores del Stage comenzaron ganando 0-2 pero los entrenadores de competición remontaron y terminaron ganando 5-2.

Y como todas las noches nuestros chicos disfrutaron de la animación. Anoche hubo taller de dibujo y nos dimos cuenta de que nuestros chicos a parte de jugar bien al tenis son unos artistas. Otros chicos jugaron al frisbee aunque al final de la noche terminaron todos en la piscina.

¡Nuestros chicos están disfrutando al máximo!

Yesterday was a great day for our players because they could enjoy part of the day with Juan Carlos Ferrero, an ex-number 1 in tennis world. After the morning trainings, the players had the opportunity of meeting Juan Carlos Ferrero. Juan Carlos took some photos with them and children were really excited because they were with a great tennis player. After the photos with Juan Carlos Ferrero, he gave them some advices to become number 1 in the tennis world and he signed up some autographs.

In addition, before the dinner, our players had the opportunity of watching a match, an important match. The match was played by the competition coaches against the stage coaches. Juan Carlos Ferrero played in the Competition team because a part from being a great tennis player he is a really good football player although our players encouraged their coaches. The Stage team started winning (0-2) but finally the competition team won. (5-2)

And as every evening our players enjoyed in their free time. Yesterday, they made a workshop of drawing, our players are really good artists. Others players played with the Frisbee although at the end of the evening all finished in the swimming.

Cada día más diversión / Having fun at the Summer Stage

Cada día que pasa en nuestro stage de verano, ocurre algo diferente y a la par más divertido.

La amplia gama de actividades que preparan nuestros animadores no tiene precio. Anoche los chic@s hicieron un taller de pulseras que se llevarán todos a casa con el más grato de los recuerdos.

También realizaron kin-ball, que se trata de un deporte, inventado por canadienses, por equipos con el fin de eliminar los individualismos en el deporte y fomentar la interacción positiva y la cooperación entre los miembros de cada equipo.

Por último, y después de 2 días, ya esta segunda quincena tiene los grupos definitivos de entrenamiento, siempre hechos y adecuados al nivel técnico y emocional de cada uno de nuestros chic@s.

Every day at the Summer Stage is different and each day has a special magic and we always have fun. Our players have learnt how to make bracelets and they made a lot of bracelets. Children will always keep with them and they will always have a good memory of this day when they see the bracelets.

They also practice kin-ball, it is a sport which was invented by the Canadians. It is played by teams to avoid the individualism in sport and promote the positive interaction and the cooperation among the members of each team.

Finally, and after two days, we have the definitive groups for the training. They are always made by technical and emotional level according to our players.

We already have a week ahead us, come on!

Primer cumpleaños en el stage de verano / First birthday at the summer stage

Ayer tuvimos la oportunidad de celebrar todos juntos el primer cumpleaños de este verano ya que uno de nuestros chic@s cumplía años. ¿Y qué mejor forma de celebrarlo que en el Stage? El afortunado fue Alexander Fernández, que con una gran sonrisa sopló las velas de la tarta que todo el equipo le había preparado con mucha ilusión. Su sonrisa reflejaba su felicidad ya que seguro será un recuerdo para toda la vida porque no todos los años se cumplen años en Equelite.  

Esto no evitó que después los chic@s disputaran un torneo de dobles de ping pong, en donde hubo mucho espectáculo y estuvo muy reñida hasta el final.

Yesterday we had chance of celebrating all together the first birthday of this summer because one of our players was 9 years old yesterday. And is there any better way to celebrate your birthday than in the Summer Stage? Alexander Fernández was the lucky of celebrating it with us; he blew the candles with a big smile because not every day you can celebrate your birthday at Equelite. Everybody prepared the party with illusion and it was a wonderful party.

The children also played table-tennis doubles, it was a spectacle and the final was really fought.
